That's because it's a linking error, the compiler found your include
but the linker doesn't know it needs to use an additional library.
This change makes it buildable on current Ubuntu LTS:

Hello greetings! I am a beginner. I have a big su file with huge shot points, but I want to see a particular shot point in reduced velocity mode. I made a single file for those particular shot by using key=fldr. Now this file should have total 636 traces. I wrote a command suwind < indut su file key=tracl max=636 .......
However, in image I got values from2.84*10^5 to 2.85*10^5. Even when I want to see the image in reduced velocity mode, I need to set rv= >1000 whereas it should be rv=1 to 2. It seems like there are something wrong with units in the headers. Would anyone please help me with how can I fix these??? I am a new user; I will appreciate your help and time. Here I attached the header info. Thanks
FYI
636 traces:
tracl 1 636 (1-636)
tracr 284929 285564 (284929-285564)
fldr 2245
tracf 1 636 (1-636)
cdp 2245

Hello SU users;
Is there a written Inverse Scattering Series interbed multiple attenuation
in Seismic Unix, I haven't used the software in a decade but I don't
remember seeing one.
I need to try something using this method, please advise?
Thanks alot
Dear all,
I have performed a time resample of some 500ns sampled 3D seismic data to
1ms intervals using the suresamp command as shown below, but was unable to
transcribe the 189-192 bytes of the Inline and the 192-196 bytes of the
crossline numbers.
segyread tape=Source3D.sgy|suresamp rf=0.5|segyhdrs|segywrite
tape=Output3D_1ms.sgy
I solved this problem by using the ASCII input/output function for trace
header on SeiSee, a free Windows software, to write out the header
information of the original file and then write it into the header of the
output file.
Is there a way to transcribe inline and crossline numbers using the SU
function?

Hello, I am a beginner. I need to apply sureduce command to a particular shot which is in su file format. I tried with different rv values but could not see any differences in the image. I checked with the headers of that file and found I have ns and dt headers but not offset. Can anyone please help me how can I add offset header to my su file? And please let me know if there are any other things to fix to get result. Thanks
Hi SU users
The SU list manager is broken. At least no new subscription is possible.
The las one is dated 09/23. Sticking to mailman2 inhibits the upgrade of
the whole hosting system (yunohost.org).
I plan to upgrade to mailman3 soon, keeping as much information as
possible from the present mail server.
Don't worry if you receive automatic or test messages in the next hours
or days.
D.
BTW: I don't know if this message will be transmitted :-)

Dear all,
I am trying to open a 12Gb byte sgy/su file using seismic unix, and I get
the below error message.
/home/subbarao/SU43R3/bin/ximage: ealloc.c: malloc failed (Cannot allocate
memory)
Is there a file size limitation in SU? or is the error related to display
or something? Do I need to change any settings?
Thank you and look forward to your early response.
Cheers,
Subbarao.

Dear Sirs,
I have some scanned seismic image I am converting in segy data format.
Having all sections the same number of time sample and the same sample
interval, but of course different trace number, I need to have only one
segy.
May I apply a command like: cat section1.su section2.su section.su >
onesection.su
If it is possible, then I need to renumber the trace number and I think to
use sushw module but I do not find which is the key word to renumber the
trace number.
Thanks to All.
Giulia
I need to use CSM program seaview to display f-k plots and I have various questions related to seaview. I will appreciate your answers on them.
- current palettes (map) for variable intensity plot sub option of display option of seaview are very limited.
- is it possible to build and install new palettes. If so how?
- if yes, does anyone have aleady built better palettes(maps)?
- Is it possible to change vertical plot label from "Time(seconds)" to "Frequency(Hertz)". İf yes., how?
- when trace samples really show frequencies instead of time samples (as in f-k plot) using actual frequency interval (eg 0.115 Hz) makes highest frequency to show like 0.125 ms or 0.250 ms. I would have preferred 125ms and 250ms (although I would prefer 125Hz and 250Hz) but using 1000 times frequecy increment is creating problems in binary header value in microsecond with seaview (ıt shows as a negative value). This must be a bug in seaview. Do any of you have a similar experience?

In that case you will run a linux over windows system, with potential sharing of your disk and peripherals between the windows host and the linux guest. WSL2 is a genuine microsoft software while virtualbox is free/libre software. It seems that WSL2 has been improved on recent windows releases (the X-server is now included. To be verified). I'm sure that numerous users on this list use wsl2.
