Help with Plotting twt vs distance plot

Hi, Greetings! I am working on marine multichannel seismic data. To see structural features, I need to plot twt vs distance plot for last 56 km of the line. It is a very long line and I want to observe only the feaures of last 56 km. However, I am struggling a lot to set x axis values. I typed suwind < 5thshot.su tmin=0 tmax=4 j=600 | sugain jon=5 | sufilter f=0,5,10,20 amps=0.,0.,1.,1., | supsimage perc=99 > 5th.ps It has given me the image of th whole line. Whereasm I am expecting an image like the image I have attached. Please help me out with making such an image. Thanks.

Hi Elora - About your frequency and amplitude selections in sufilter -- your "amps" values mean you have a high-pass filter but your "f" values mean you are limiting your frequencies to 10-20 hz (I think). Change j to 636. The offset range from surange doesn't make sense. It should be 264 to 264 + 12.5 x 635, ie about 8200 metres. What filter setting did you use? How long was the original data? Use suwind to get 1272 traces and plot. You should see 2 shots. Is this correct? Hi, good... but not yet very good ! I suspect a problem of numerical accuracy with such high values of X and Y coordinates. You can test this hypothesis by subtracting the mean of X and Y coordinates to have 0 centered data... If it's true, it should be better to correct the algorithm, I know... D. Problems with sucdpbin

Dear SU users, I am trying to make the CMP binning of a seismic line (see the headers ranges below). The command line is: *sucdpbin < so104-17_geom.su <http://so104-17_geom.su> xline=723715,920883 yline=7242464,7237825 verbose=2 dcdp=25 distmax=500 > so104-17_cdp.su <http://so104-17_cdp.su>* As you see I have used a distmax of 500m and still I am not able to get the binning. Just in case I also tried again the same command, but sorting the date so that the first traces in the su file correspond to the minimum x coordinate and the last traces to the maximum coordinate (in the field the line was shot from east to west), but it failed as well. Any help would be very much appreciated. Announcing Incremental release 44R28 of Seismic Unix

This release does contain a fix for the “types.h” (tirpc) installation problem seen by users on Ubuntu 22.04. I have also started adding platform specific installation instructions on https://wiki.seismic-unix.org <https://wiki.seismic-unix.org/> under Documentation. Right now this includes a list of all the packages that you need to install under Ubuntu 22.04 before you can install SU.

Dear All, Has anybody struggled with compiling version 44.26 and having trouble when compiling with the xdr I am getting messages like src/su/lib/fgettr.c:148: undefined reference to `xdr_float' src/su/lib/fputtr.c:123: undefined reference to `xdr_vector' I am running Ubuntu 22.04 and somehow, although xdr.h is installed at rpc/xdr.h I am not sure why the compiler does not locate it. That's because it's a linking error, the compiler found your include but the linker doesn't know it needs to use an additional library. Help with fixing Trace number

Hello greetings! I am a beginner. I have a big su file with huge shot points, but I want to see a particular shot point in reduced velocity mode. I made a single file for those particular shot by using key=fldr. Now this file should have total 636 traces. I wrote a command suwind < indut su file key=tracl max=636 ....... However, in image I got values from2.84*10^5 to 2.85*10^5. Even when I want to see the image in reduced velocity mode, I need to set rv= >1000 whereas it should be rv=1 to 2. It seems like there are something wrong with units in the headers. Would anyone please help me with how can I fix these??? I am a new user; I will appreciate your help and time. Inverse Scattering Series for inter-bed multiple attenuation

Hello SU users; Is there a written Inverse Scattering Series interbed multiple attenuation in Seismic Unix, I haven't used the software in a decade but I don't remember seeing one. I need to try something using this method,please advise? Thanks alot
