Hello,
Greetings. I ran this command and got a satisfied image using suximage.
suwind<b.su<http://b.su/> key=offset min=70000 tmax=4|suximage perc=98 f2=70.151 d2=.250 hbox=900 wbox=1500 label2="Distance Along Line (km)" label1="Two-way Time (s)" &
However,I want to create a ps file and download the image. I tried to ran similar command using supsimage but could not ran the commands. Please help me with this.
Thanks in advance.
Sincerely,
Elora
Hi,
Greetings! I am working on marine multichannel seismic data. To see structural features, I need to plot twt vs distance plot for last 56 km of the line. It is a very long line and I want to observe only the feaures of last 56 km. However, I am struggling a lot to set x axis values. I typed
suwind < 5thshot.su tmin=0 tmax=4 j=600 | sugain jon=5 | sufilter f=0,5,10,20 amps=0.,0.,1.,1., | supsimage perc=99 > 5th.ps
It has given me the image of th whole line. Whereasm I am expecting an image like the image I have attached. Please help me out with making such an image. Thanks.
Hi Elora -
About your frequency and amplitude selections in sufilter -- your "amps" values mean you have a high-pass filter but your "f" values mean you are limiting your frequencies to 10-20 hz (I think). This is low resolution.

Hello,
Here, I have attached the filters and commands I am using and the image I got. Please have a look. After putting j=636 and key=offset max= 1272, the image became noisy. The total length of the line is around 126 km. I am working on last 200 shots that is last 56km. I need to label the x axis to distance in km and y axis to twt in s. I need to increase the resolution and point out the BSRs and faults in the last 56 km. Please help me out.
Thanks.

The offset range from surange doesn't make sense. It should be 264 to 264 + 12.5 x 635, ie about 8200 metres.
What filter setting did you use? How long was the original data?
Use suwind to get 1272 traces and plot. You should see 2 shots. Is this correct?

Riding on the back of Glenn's message, please know that, in addition to selecting time (tmin, tmax), suwind can select traces, too:
| key=tracl Key header word to window on (see segy.h) |
|
| min=LONG_MIN min value of key header word to pass |
|
max=LONG_MAX max value of key header word to pass
|
|
|
Use surange to get the overall picture of your trace keys and use sugethw or sudumptrace to get details of specific keys.
Also, Excel or LibreOffice Calc could be used for quick plots after extracting columns from your .su files.
You might post the output from surange so we might give more informed advice.

Then use key and min keywords to limit the traces.
Also check your filter settings. Should amps be 0,1,1,0 instead perhaps?

Hi,
good... but not yet very good !
I suspect a problem of numerical accuracy with such high values of X and
Y coordinates.
You can test this hypothesis by subtracting the mean of X and Y
coordinates to have 0 centered data...
If it's true, it should be better to correct the algorithm, I know...

Dear SU users,
I am trying to make the CMP binning of a seismic line (see the headers
ranges below).
The command line is:
*sucdpbin < so104-17_geom.su <http://so104-17_geom.su> xline=723715,920883
yline=7242464,7237825 verbose=2 dcdp=25 distmax=500 > so104-17_cdp.su
As you see I have used a distmax of 500m and still I am not able to get the
binning.
Just in case I also tried again the same command, but sorting the date so
that the first traces in the su file correspond to the minimum x coordinate
and the last traces to the maximum coordinate (in the field the line was
shot from east to west), but it failed as well.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Best wishes
Juan
