Hello,
Greetings !
I need to put in my segy seismic data file the coordinates of the traces I have in a UKOOA file.
Would you please help me how can I do it with SU ?
Thanks in advance to anyone can help me.
Regards
Giulia
Hi Giulia,
Hope you have solved the problem.
If not, you may try the following steps:
1. The main part is you need to extract information from the UKOOA file, for example x-coordinate (sx in SU), y-coordinate (sy in SU). Save the extraction in an ASCII file consist of columns of information. Make sure that the number of rows in this text file is the same with the number of traces in SU file (assuming that you have converted the SEGY file into SU format). 2. Convert the information in the ASCII file into binary file using "a2b" command from SU. 3. Use "sushw" to set the coordinates in the SU file (utilizing "infile" option in the command)
